Tanya

Tuesday evening I met up with Tanya for her senior portrait session. All of these photos were taken just a few minutes outside of Portland (thank you to Tanya and her mom for showing me some cool spots!)

Stephanie & Chris

This past weekend I photographed Chris & Stephanie's wedding at The Blue Rooster Inn outside of Eugene. I went to school with Chris' older brother Mike from elementary thru high school (a common story for anyone who grew up in a small town), so needless to say I've known their family for awhile! It's always nice to see a lot of familiar faces at a wedding. I met Stephanie two years ago when she was with Chris at the Oregon Jamboree, and I remember telling Chris how adorable she was - and I'm sure I said something like "so don't screw it up!" Haha. So nice job Chris! ;) And Congrats!!

I LOVE all of these! I think my favorites though are the one of the bride w/the bridesmaids sitting on the fence behind her, GREAT COLORS! The bouquet photo with the barb wire is AWESOME, I love the contrast of the beautiful soft flowers against the weathered rough barbed wire. And then the one during the ceremony of the little boy on the ground playing with the rose petals..... so sweet!

You colors are so vibrant, and that location looks like it was chock full of great photo opportunities. BEAUTIFUL! :)

Maggie

The other day I photographed Maggie's senior session in Brownsville - I love her glasses! Almost makes me wish I didn't have perfect vision :)

Juliann

Juliann met me in Eugene at 7am the other day for her senior shoot - I know, those of you who know me are amazed right now. I'm not a morning person, and I hate coffee, so there's no way to artificially make myself happy about it. But once I saw Juliann and the cool outfits she put together, I was happy! :)

I thought the plus side of an early a.m. shoot would be that there aren't many people around, but we got quite a few interesting, uh, characters asking if we needed male models... And making a few too many comments about my "really nice camera." Note to self: purchase bullmastiff to bring to future shoots. :)

I found your blog through OSP, (beautiful beautiful pictures btw) and had to comment on the "bullmastiff" thing. I have one. It works wonderfully. :D

Crater Lake

Today my friend Jesse & I took a day trip to Crater Lake - neither of us had been there before, and the weather was... not so great. It felt like December, it was sooo windy, rainy and cold! When we got there we couldn't even see the lake at all, but by about 3pm the fog started to burn off. Still not a perfect view, but what can you do.

Proof of just how windy it was...

What the dog was checking out... chipmunks were everywhere!

Finally a semi-clear view of the lake! The water was so blue... And yes, there's a chipmunk :)

Jesse & I freezing our butts off, complete with watery eyes from the wind

My out-the-window tree shot, pretty decent for 70mph

The next four are from Clearwater Falls, somewhere between Crater Lake and the happenin' town of Glide.

Kacy - Turning a pro SLR upon some hapless chipmunks seems like overkill no? They didn't stand a chance!

Danita & Ryan

Last Friday Danita & Ryan tied the knot at Black Butte Ranch. This was a unique wedding for me, Ryan's parents called me a week in advance to see if I was available! I'm told I was their wedding present :) I'm glad I was free, their family and friends were a lot of fun, great people to spend the day with.

Congrats!!

And thanks again to Peter for being available last minute to come along with me! :)

Meghan & David

Earlier tonite Meghan and her boyfriend David came down from Salem for some photos together, her birthday present to him. Awww... :)

If you've ever looked at my web site I'm sure you've seen Meghan's face before - I hate to pick favorites so I'll say she's *one of my favorite* subjects. :)

new-ish blog!

I got a little ambitious and spruced up my previously boring-looking blog, so now I'll be able to post larger images - more changes to come, but I'm impatient so I wanted to put up what I had now :)

And despite taking CS 195 at Oregon State (can't believe I remember the class number after 4 years!), I don't really have mad HTML skills so I'm sure I screwed something up along the way - if something looks weird, don't worry it's my fault!

Also: anyone within driving distance needs to check out the Scandinavian Festival (their website has some nutty music going, just to warn you!) in Junction City this weekend, seriously awesome food. I've been craving aebelskivers for weeks now, and am so excited that I'll finally get some tomorrow nite!

Stephanie and Scott tied the knot yesterday at Eagle Rock Lodge in Vida. The views and decorations were awesome, and big thanks to my friend Kirsty of Wreckless Photography for coming up from Grants Pass to shoot with me!

Congrats you two, thanks so much for having me and best of luck starting your new life together in Phoenix!
