Lacey

The other day Lacey and her mom came down from Salem for her senior shoot. They were so fun, and despite some insane wind we still managed to get some great shots. Here are just a few!

Alex

Monday evening I met up with Alex and his parents outside of Salem for his senior photos. It makes me feel old to say that he's adorable, but he is totally adorable, haha :)

Heather & Scott

Sunday evening I met with Heather & Scott for their engagement session. They were so cute together, and she actually transferred from Oregon State to U of O after her freshman year to be closer to him - I forgive her, I guess. :)

Mollie

A few from Mollie's senior shoot a few days ago - I'm getting bored of my normal routine so I mixed it up for these... I think Mollie looks so much like Lauren from The Hills, Laguna Beach, yadda yadda... especially in the 2nd one!

Nicole Coppi

Last week while I was up in Portland my friend Nicole & I spent a few minutes getting some "musician-y" shots of her.

You can hear some of her songs at her myspace page, and she sounds even more amazing live - her next show is at The Bitter End Pub in downtown Portland on October 30th.

Paige & Madison

Yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph Paige & Madison, the little sisters of one of my seniors (Allyssa). Their family is so fun and adorable, there are so many I photos I love from the shoot but here are just a few for now!

Schmoo

Okay so Schmoo's real name is Casey, but my sister Kylyn started calling her Schmoo in middle school to avoid Casey/Kacy confusion... and the nickname has stuck among most of her friends and family. Sorry Schmoo, that's what you get for hanging out with my family! :)

These were shot yesterday evening around the farm, where Schmoo has been a tractor-drivin' slave for the past few summers :)

Kyley

Yesterday I met Kyley at Alton Baker Park in Eugene for her senior session. I hadn't been there since... I don't remember when, but there were SO many ducks! And geese, seagulls, pigeons... everything. At one point my foot started sinking into what I thought was mud, but it was just a big pile of you-know-what.

I'm lucky, all of my seniors are soo pretty so it makes my job pretty easy! :) Kyley was no exception, I love this first one:

Check out the goose in the background, haha!

8 facts...

So I was tagged by my friend Kristy a few weeks ago. I'm supposed to list 8 facts about myself, and tag 8 other photographers to do the same... So here you go!

1. In high school I made up a new word, which maybe ten people still remember (although it can't possibly come up in conversation often...) - Persiduary (n) - the ground under a mailbox, specifically the offical post office mailboxes on 4 legs, but any mailbox really... Handy word, huh? :)

2. I've been in a school bus wreck and an ATV wreck, resulting in a less-than-stellar lower-back situation and a collar bone that pops where it broke.

3. I cry during movies and TV shows really easily... Anyone seen Reign Over Me? I just watched it the other nite, and I'm sooo glad I watched it by myself!! Ridiculous. Even Disney movies get me every time, specifically The Lion King... or The Fox and the Hound... or...

4. December is my favorite month - I love Christmas lights, Christmas-y smells, all of the food associated w/ the holidays, and wearing warm clothes. And you can usually find pomegranates around then, yum.

5. Speaking of being warm, I love blankets. Especially ones that are supersoft or look fun - ideally both. So if you ever want to buy me something and don't know what, just get me a supersoft blanket :)

6. I've never been to NYC but I've always wanted to go when it's all decorated for Christmas (can you tell I've been craving the winter lately??). I think this has to do with seeing too many chick flicks based there at that time of year, but oh well.

7. When I was 15 I owned a marsupial. :) A sugar glider - like a flying squirrel... Well I really wanted a monkey, but my parents weren't exactly cool with that idea. Then I wanted an African grey parrot (the best "talking" parrot), but they were like $3000. So I got a sugar glider; Batman. He was a cool little guy (the photos don't show the size well, but they like to crawl in shirt pockets if that gives you a better idea) but between school, sports, and all that other extracurricular stuff I didn't have enough time for a high maintenance pet. Good thing I didn't get that monkey!!

8. I hate hate hate tomatoes. But I love tomato soup, ketchup and salsa (as long as it doesn't have huge tomato chunks).

And all the people I can think of offhand to 'tag' have been already, so if you haven't you can say I tagged you. :)

Persiduary? Hmmm...I definitely neverever heard about that. Oh, the things I miss when I flee the state.

I can think of quite a few other fun facts that could be on this list. What about Ziggy Muppetman? Or JTT? We should come up with a "KC's Top Forty" or something. And stitch each one onto a supersoft quilt...for Christmas. Ole!

"Tell me again how you eat a pomegranate? Ah yes..." :)

Oh, yes and don't forget about having to put your pillow in the freezer.

And the cartoon voices you did along with stories about their life. Whatever happend to Grandma Granny and her favorite husband. Or was it her dog.....

Okay, apparently my family should have written my 8 facts for me, haha! I feel like I need to give backstory on each of these new facts even though it's probably a bad idea...

Yes, I decorated my dad's bathroom quite elaborately one December. Leave a 15-year-old home alone housesitting for 3 weeks and this is what happens (he did ask me to decorate for Christmas, just wasn't specific!). I can hear the parenting police coming after him now.... :)

Ziggy Muppetman = once upon a time I wanted to be a puppeteer, Ziggy and I were quite the team.

JTT = uh yeah, name any other girl my age who wasn't obsessed back in the Home Improvement days. Let's not talk about it.

For the record, MIRANDA (my older and *supposedly* smarter sister) was the one who didn't know how to eat a pomegranate! Just so no one reads that wrong. :)

In high school I had a pet hamster for maybe 6 weeks, it mysteriously disappeared and I believe it would have been found in a cat's tummy. It was possessed, the meanest hamster I've ever encountered, so it was named after a 4-letter-word. Shhhh....

Moving on, in my younger days I couldn't get to sleep unless my pillow was cold so I would put it in the freezer for an hour or so before bed. Has anyone seen the "chillow" in catalogs?? I could have been a millionaire. Figures.

And yeah I also used to want to be a cartoon voiceover artist or whatever that is called, my most common character was Marilla May Schlob, a super old woman who always got her husband and dog confused. I don't remember much of this but my mom was just enlightening me on how Marilla would entertain the fam on roadtrips...

Okay, I think the rest of my 'fun facts' should remain within the family so that I can keep my friends :)

Devon

Yesterday Devon and his mom came down from Salem for his senior session. I just realized that he isn't looking at the camera in any of the photos I picked to post here, but trust me those do exist! :)

Thanks again for coming down Devon, and good luck at your football game Friday!
