Liz + Charlie

Liz and Charlie were married June 21st at Atavista Farm in Brownsville - the weather was perfect, and thank you thank you thank you to Sara of Sara Lil Photography for coming along to shoot with me!

So far Suzy and I are still alive, after some interesting airline problems... Gold star to US Airways for flying Suzy's lost bag to Bend in time for Friday's wedding... it was an interesting 24 hours!

The next wedding is tomorrow in Ariel, Washington. As soon as I post this we're headed up to Portland for the next few days, so if email reply is slow you'll know why!

Hi Kacy!

It was such a fun wedding and I love shooting with you! Thanks for asking me!! The images look great. Liz and Charlie are so sweet!

I hope that you and Suzy are having fun -- what a crazy whirlwind adventure you two are on!

Maybe I'll see you at the parade on the 4th :)

"...isn't 4 weddings in 10 days kind of odd?"

...said the TSA dude who was strip-searching Suzy at the Houston airport a few hours ago.

Yep, after a roller coaster day of flight changes, my good friend Suzy, who currently resides in Texas, will be arriving tonite to shoot four weddings with me in the ten days that she's here - in Bend, Corvallis, Washington and Harrisburg. In between weddings we'll be celebrating my sister's 22nd birthday, buying "the good" fireworks in Washington (we're up there anyways, why not?), going to the St. Paul rodeo and celebrating the 4th of July in Harrisburg.... and who knows what else. I'm sure I'll take her to the farm and throw her in a tractor while she's here :)

Here we are at the end of a long day last time we shot a wedding together, almost exactly a year ago in Jamaica: It was veeeerrrry hot, veeeeerrrrry humid, and check out those massive bug bites on my legs. Tropical insects and I don't get along....

Anyways, if you happen to see us at a wedding in the next ten days be sure to tell her hi, she's never been to the northwest before so I wouldn't want her to think we're a bunch of big jerks :P

Photos from Liz and Charlie's 6/21 wedding will be up in the next few days!

Carolina

Last week Carolina met me at the farm for her senior session - We didn't spend a ton of time out by the lake, because there have been some bees there to pollinate the meadowfoam field - This photo is cropped in so you can kinda see the bees, there were actually a lot more of these bee boxes. I think they're gone now, and the good news is I'll get free honey later this summer! :)

Samantha, Amanda, Amanda, and Lucy

My sister Samantha and her college roommates wanted some pics together for their graduation from Oregon State (go Beavs!). I'm used to posing one girl at a time so this was a little different for me, but we had fun! Congrats girls!

They each have a tattoo that says "friendship" in a different language - Don't ask me what the languages are, I have no clue! :)

Melissa + Cory: Eugene Wedding

Continuing in catching up on my blogging... I said it before when I posted their engagement shoot, but Melissa and Cory are extremely adorable. Their Memorial Day weekend wedding was a blast, and it was actually raining for most of the day but every time we headed out for photos it was dry.

Not only are these two adorable, they're also some of the nicest, most genuine people I've met. Their next big step together is joining the Peace Corps. Peter shot this wedding with me, and he even told me he was jealous that I had them as clients :)

Apparently this crew is really into physical fitness... these next two photos were must-haves, haha!

Thanks again Melissa and Cory for letting us spend the big day with you! And huge thanks to Peter for coming along to shoot with me!

And to whoever owns a black and white cat named Nero and lives somewhere near U of O, I gave your kitty a lift home after this wedding - according to his tag, he was a long way from home :)  And if that's considered cat-napping, then I just made that last part up.

I was looking forward to seeing these shots after helping that day. They look great! I absolutely love the sunset shot of them holding hands. The light was gorgeous.

Kyla + James Engagement Session - Silver Falls

So I've been informed that I need to update my blog - by my dad, and since Father's Day is on Sunday I should probably do what he says :) I have quite a bit to catch up on, so I'll go in order and start with Kyla and James! These two are so laid back and fun to be around - we got together at Silver Falls a few weeks ago for their engagement session, and in a month I'll be joining them in Maui for their July 11th beach wedding - I know, I know, it's going to be rough :)
